SUMMARY:Lesson "Cretan Cuisine"
DESCRIPTION:This summer I travelled to the Greek islands. On the island of Crete\, I stayed at the old family-run Avli Hotel\, which is part of the Association of Historic Hotels of Europe. His mistress loves to cook\, and she organizes Cretan cuisine cooking classes for guests. We decided to repeat everything that she taught me at our school. Chef Dmitry Popov assisted me. We cooked dakos\, Cretan salad\, saganaki mussels\, and for dessert we had Greek yogurt with thyme honey. Especially for the lesson\, I brought two Greek wines: one of the best white Greek wines Assyrtiko Santo Wines and Red Dry Chateau Porto Carras from an old winery in Halkidiki. In Greek culture\, as well as in Odessa\, it is customary to do everything together: rejoice or be sad\, mature and grow old\, love and care for each other\, cook food and sit down at the table\, which we did at the end of the lesson. \nLesson recipes: \n\nGreek dakos\nGreek mussels\nCretan salad\n\nPhotos from the lesson \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n
