About the Book
This book is a tribute to Odesa’s people, food, and everyday culture.
- 103 family recipes rooted in Odesa’s culinary traditions
- Contributions from 20 photographers from around the world
- A visual, narrative journey designed as a walk through the city This project has been nearly 10 years in the making, with 3 years of production after signing the publishing contract.
Why This Matters
In times of uncertainty, food remains a powerful cultural language. This book positions Odesa as a city of gastronomy, memory, and living heritage – and contributes to its long-term cultural and economic visibility.
A portion of the proceeds supports Bake for Ukraine; a volunteer initiative I’ve been part of for over four years.
January 8 – A Shared Moment
January 8 is the day we send Odesa’s cuisine into the world. By supporting this book, you support the city, its people, and its food heritage. Thanks to all of you for being part of this journey.
